Royal Court is one of the great coronation-themed Jordan inserts, and the name fits the moment: it arrived in 1998–99 Topps Stadium Club, right after Jordan’s sixth championship and his second retirement, framing him quite literally as basketball royalty. The card is the one you want to hold in person — a foil, etched insert with a holographic royal-court background of crowns and heraldry that shimmers and shifts color as you tilt it, with a crowned ‘Royal Court’ badge and the legend ‘King of Kings’ running down the left rail beside a full-bleed shot of Jordan rising for the shot in the red Bulls road uniform. It is card RC9 in the set. The back doubles down on the theme, reading like a coronation scroll: ‘All hail Michael Jordan. Again.’ before recapping a résumé that by then included five MVPs, six Finals MVPs, ten All-NBA First Teams, and ten scoring titles.
As an etched-foil insert, the surface is delicate — it shows print lines and chips at the corners — so gem mint copies are genuinely scarce: of 542 graded across all grades, only 16 have reached PSA 10, a 2.95 percent gem rate.
