This card reproduces one of the most recognizable Jordan magazine images of the era: the May/June 1991 cover of Legends Sports Memorabilia, painted by artist Christopher Paluso. The artwork layers three views of Jordan — bringing the ball up, a tight portrait, and a driving finish — in the deep reds of the Bulls road uniform, under the script Legends logo. The back notes that Paluso’s original painting won a certificate of merit from the New York Society of Illustrators.
It was issued as card #C14 in the promo set handed out at the 13th National Sports Collectors Convention in Atlanta in 1992, which is what makes the graded population so thin. PSA has certified just 95 across all grades, with only 26 reaching PSA 10 and none graded higher — a 27.37 percent gem rate on a tiny absolute population.
