The High Voltage insert is one of the more beloved Jordan cards of the late-’90s, and it is easy to see why in hand. The front is a foil card built around a swirling, electric optical-spiral background — concentric rings radiating out behind Jordan as he rises for a jump shot in the red Bulls road uniform, with ‘High Voltage’ echoed in ghosted lettering across the design. It is loud, kinetic, and unmistakably of its era, and the foil gives it a shifting depth that flat scans never quite capture. It came out of 1997–98 NBA Hoops Series 2 (SkyBox), a 20-card insert set, with Jordan as card 14 of 20HV — released right in the middle of his sixth-championship season.
