The defender contesting the shot is Alton Lister, the seven-foot center identified by name in the photographer’s own handwriting on the back.

Sissac’s purple “ALL RIGHTS RESERVED” copyright stamp — complete with his Chicago phone number — sits alongside a pencil caption reading “Rookie of Year – 85’,” a contemporaneous reference to Jordan’s 1984–85 Rookie of the Year campaign.
